After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Aviation from Louisiana Tech University and completing seven years of service in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist at Barksdale AFB, Robert Fortune began his career in law enforcement in 1996 as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Mr. Fortune's first duty station was in the FBI's Houston Division, Beaumont Resident Agency, where he was assigned to investigate various white collar crimes, civil rights, and crimes in federal penal institutions and also to serve as a co-pilot in the division's aviation unit.
